7月28日,IT House报道,Intel和AMD等硬件供应商在微软的Windows 11 22H2发布后开始发布驱动程序,增加了对即将发布的Windows 11功能更新的支持。
对于使用旧英特尔显示器的用户,移到Windows 11 22H2意味着支持的结束。新版本系统引入了 Windows 显示驱动程序模型 (WDDM) 3.1 版本，英特尔发布公告，支持第10代(Comet Lake在桌面上和Ice Lake在移动上)和旧的处理器系列将终止。
英特尔称，自2022年7月27日起,英特尔将将第6至第10代处理器芯片和相关英特尔过渡、运行时间和Syjan处理器芯片转移到旧的软件支持模型。英特尔仅为受影响产品的关键修理和安全漏洞提供软件支持,这些产品的软件更新将按季度或随软件发布而更新。
